Welcome to the roaring celebration of my son James’ dinosaur birthday party! In the midst of our busy lives, there’s something truly magical about celebrating the milestones of our loved ones. This birthday was an opportunity to celebrate prehistoric style right in our backyard. With a last-minute decision to throw a dinosaur-themed party, I pulled this party together in no time with the help of Amazon and some local favorite shops.

Party Entrance

As guests arrived in our backyard, they were greeted by balloon garlands and inflatable dinosaurs, setting the tone for a Jurassic adventure. The Tropical Dinosaur Birthday invitation by Dogwood Hill, sent digitally for convenience, provided a sneak peek into the prehistoric fun that awaited. I also used the coordinating Tropical Dinosaur favor tag for cookies by my friend Kat, owner of Postbox Sweets.

Jurassic Party Activities

The highlight of the dinosaur birthday party was the towering inflatable water slide, which we rented from a local company. Amidst the tropical backdrop, kids lined up at the dinosaur tattoo station. Kids this age love this, and with the help of my daughter, I had an easy side activity to have in addition to the slide! Hand-lettered balloons added a personalized touch.

Dinosaur Refreshments

In the midst of last-minute planning, we opted for convenience without sacrificing style. Cupcakes from a local bakery were decorated with playful dinosaur figurines. This added a touch of whimsy to the dessert table. Store-bought snacks kept guests fueled, while my favorite bamboo folding chairs provided seating for guests to enjoy their treats.

Dino Party Decor

The party was set with casual yet elegant floral arrangements by my friends at Garden Party Design, adding a pop of color to the party table. Inflatable dinosaurs dotted the landscape, transporting guests back in time to an era of giants and fossils.
