Hosting Thanksgiving as a mom of four can get busy, but with these tried-and-true tips, you’ll be ready for a stress-free, memorable holiday. As a mom of four, Thanksgiving at my home is a tradition I truly cherish. I must admit, though, that my culinary expertise doesn’t extend to roasting the perfect turkey. I have made tons of Thanksgiving side dishes over the years- but for the turkey has always been catered. love to rely on catering from a local favorite, Ashley Macs Kitchen. Combining catered dishes with homemade dishes on Thanksgiving can help simplify your holiday meal preparations while ensuring a blend of convenience and that personal touch. I don’t host every year, but when I do, I think it’s great to to keep things stylish- but also stress free.
To kick off the festivities, I love to greet my guests with my favorite hot apple cider (we make this every Thanksgiving and Christmas) or a glass of wine. I love to set a pretty table, and most importantly, enjoying the moments with family.
I’ve found that using paper products for the children’s table not only simplifies cleanup, but also adds an element of fun to their dining experience. When it comes to dessert, having a dessert station set up makes for an easy transition after the meal. It’s a great way for everyone to enjoy their favorite treats while spending time with family.
Whether you choose to use what you have on hand or indulge in some new napkins or a pretty turkey platter, the heart of Thanksgiving is bringing loved ones together. It’s about enjoying each other’s company and the delicious food on the table. If you opt to take on the turkey yourself, remember that dividing duties among family members. This can turn the meal preparation into a much easier experience. Have family members bring desserts or a couple of side dishes to lighten the load. As a thoughtful touch, consider purchasing disposable pans for leftovers for guests to take home.
Wishing you all a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving filled with love and laughter. I hope these tips help, and feel free to shop my favorite Thanksgiving items below.
