Monster Pizza Party

Monster Pizza Party: A Fun and Easy Kids’ Celebration Inspired by Invitations

When it comes to celebrating birthdays, few things are more exciting than planning a themed party for a child. I was thrilled to organize a Monster Pizza Party for 6-year-old Harper and his mom, Jessica. Inspired by the vibrant Arcade Monster Collection from Dogwood Hill, designed by the talented Rachel Rogers, this party featured aqua, red, and yellow tones, making it a colorful and fun-filled event.

Party Decorations

To begin with, the decorations set the mood right from the start. As soon as guests arrived, they were greeted by a custom monster balloon garland. The cake from Olexa’s Cafe that acted as the main table centerpiece. Additionally, I worked with Postbox Sweets to create custom monster-themed cookies, which added a personal touch to the party favors.

The balloon garland coordinated with the aqua color theme. I added giant googly-eye stickers to bring the monster theme to life. Meanwhile, candy centerpieces provided a unique twist. I piled up Airheads and Dum Dums in red and blue on cake stands, adding some fun mylar pizza balloons to tie everything together.

As an extra touch, I used monster-inspired photo props as additional centerpieces. I placed them in tin containers filled with white crinkly paper, giving the tables a playful look.

Party Tableware

When it came to table settings, I focused on both fun and function. Each setting had monster-themed tableware to match the invitations perfectly. In addition, I made sure to include a “place setting fun” bucket at each seat. Inside the tin buckets, the kids found monster stickers, crayons, and toys to keep them entertained during the meal.

As an extra special touch, I included custom cookies from Postbox Sweets. The creative cookies not only added color but gave the table a cohesive and delightful look.

Party Favors

For the party favors, I wanted to keep things super fun while including both elements of the monster and pizza theme. Upon arrival, the kids decorated their own favor bags with googly-eye stickers. In addition, each child received a tin bucket filled with pizza-themed stickers, monster toys, and candy. These small items kept the kids excited, providing entertainment throughout the party and a fun keepsake to take home.

The Party Coming Together

This Monster Pizza Party was truly a joy to plan. I love adding my own twist to traditional parties, and this one was no exception. From candy-filled centerpieces to fun-filled place setting buckets, every detail worked together seamlessly. Using the invitation as a guide really helped tie everything together. Adding the custom cookies gave it a memorable, personal touch.

Planning a Monster Pizza Party doesn’t need to be stressful. Start with an invitation for inspiration, and the rest will come together naturally. With playful decorations, monster-themed table settings, and pizza for the meal, you’ll have a party that’s both simple to organize and exciting for the kids. Harper’s birthday was full of fun, laughter, and unforgettable monster memories. I’ve linked all of my favorite monster pizza party items below.
